ACGC 2008 Day 2

Went to ACGC(Animation Comic Game Convention) yesterday with Kaede.

It was a last minute decision actually. I was still thinking about going or not until Saturday night my sis asked me about going or not. And my mum was like, ok go but be sure to be back early. So ok, we went!

We planned to go out at 10:30am but we went out at 12pm++ to prepare. lol By the time we reached there we was so hungry we went to eat first.

While these was served I thought "As a blogger, I won't forget to take pictures and blog!" But I was too hungry I forgot to take pictures of the pizza. lol

But it was a very normal pizza anyway. Hawaiian Chicken. Yum.

lol so random

After lunch, we went straight to ACGC.

Everytime I come to a anime event it makes me happy to be loving all these. Seriously it's so amazing! I love all the cosplays. And it's so nice to see the characters come to life. And Suigintou here is the character of one of my favourite anime - Rozen Maiden.

ACGC car

I read an article somewhere saying that these are call "patung lucah/porn dolls". Dammit these are not porn dolls, they are just figurines and you'll just have to accept them!

A typical otaku will have at least a figurine. BUT I DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE!! T_T But I have many comics la. lol I'll blog about them next time. =D I will buy figurines some day! >=3 But for now I have to save money to buy concert ticket and a trip to Taiwan. lol

I was even planning to cosplay 1 lor. Too bad. =(

Me and the lovely Suigintou

Misa Misa and L

And finally the cosplay competition!

There was only 8 contestant I heard? o.o I thought those were the final 8. Oh well. Videos! Not very clear though.

At first the mic was terrible!! X_X Can't even listen what that character was saying. But he was darn cool. XD And not to mention tall. =D AND AND during their little act on stage, they played one of my fav song - Satsugai by Detroit Metal City!! XD Will blog about that next time too. lol

Don't mess with Kurosaki Ichigo's counter part. =D

Naruto characters. Not sure who they were cosplaying 'cause never watched Naruto in my life. But they were really good. LOL they danced with High School Musical 3 trailer as the background music. XD

And to my suprise one of the character is Guki! O_O I never expect to meet her there but we was like standing near each other then our eyes met so we shook hands said hi. lol. I must've acted like an idiot 'cause I suck at meeting new people and speaking in english. D= The horror. When will I ever grow up to socialize? x_x

These 2 videos are similar but well, I just wanna put it here. lol The overall contestants.

And the winner is???

I don't know actually! LOL. I went home early before the result was announced. Wasn't feeling well. Didn't even manage to say hi to misshermes. X_X Gomen na I'll surely meet you at CF!! >=3

Then after I reached home I got flu and sore throat. lol Sigh. So now I'm resting at home playing HARVEST MOON!! LOL I love that game so much!! XD

After blogging I'll continue my game. =D Bye!

P/S: Yes I know X Japan is having live at Bangkok also, but I WANNA GO TAIWAN and also it feels weird hearing them speaking in Thai. lol

P/P/S: Looks like the hide doll caught some attention. So what is a hide doll? It's a doll of hide la. lol

Compare with the doll at the previous post

It's not cheap also leh. It's a rare doll that is no longer in sale. Bought it at ebay for my sis as a birthday present. lol

Down at JB

So after my grandma's funeral(before burning the paper house those la), my dad, sis, and I went down to JB because my dad had something to do at Singapore and he will stay overnight there.

My mum stayed at Muar, but me and my sis didn't 'cause it's been awhile since we stayed overnight in a hotel so crowded there!! Ahem alright I just wanted to stay in a hotel room instead of that burning hot house in Muar. lol *guilty*

Stayed in a hotel name The ZON. You know~ The duty-free place?

You think it's the outside right, but it's not! It's actually indoors. =3 Looks really nice, but with my 2.0 megapixel camera hp I cannot take really nice pictures. =3=

KaedE's hide doll sleeping in my bed before me.

My dad had to go Singapore to catch some Car Show that his friend organized, so he gave us some money for dinner and left.

Camwhore camwhore camwhore

I and hide doll >=(

Must camwhore more!!

Bad lighting, I know!

After that we went to the shopping centre beside the hotel to find food. My dad told us got McDonald's. Oh yeah and he asked us to don't eat full 'cause we're going supper later. =3

All I could find is Marry Brown, Delifrance, Modesto and a malay restaurant. Terrible I tell you. I keep searching for McDonald's but my dad lied! No McDonald's, only have McDonald's Ice Cream booth!! X_X

So we starved until 9pm only decide to eat at Marry Brown. I don't know why but I don't like Marry Brown. I hated it since young.

Obviously copying some other fast food

After dinner, we went back to the hotel and I had a bubble bath! =D

Well not exactly bubble bath. I poured almost half of the shower foam to the tub but still no bubble and I doubt it'll have bubbles even after I poured the whole bottle.

But the hot bath is GOOD. =D

Looking through the eyehole thingy

After my dad came back, we went to this place call "Mu Chuan Cafe"

It is a cafe that some how relates to my dad's company. I don't know I'm not sure but he's part of the owner. =D

The menu. Damn creative aye?

This place is really REALLY NICE until I don't want to go to KL's cafe already. The environment's nice, the food's nice, and the drinks is SUPERB!!

Less talking, more pictures. =D

Counter(Hi dad! =D)

Got people singing for you summore

That girl... familiar or not? =3

More Yum XD

I TELL YOU, THAT HONEYDEW SMOOTHIE IS THE BEST ONE I EVER TASTED!!(Well I only had one smoothie in my life but that's not the point)

Whoever going to JB MUST try that cafe. It's near the THE ZON hotel. lol I dunno how to say the location la but opposite the cafe is the sea. =D

GO. TRY. IT. I'm still craving for that honeydew smoothie NOW!! X_X

Funeral 3

Hey I'm back from Muar again.

Used 4 hours to reach Muar. X_X Usually we need only 2 hours, but before we start the journey my dad went in to KL and stuck there for 1 1/2 hour lo. Damn tiring. Haha. By the time we reached the Sungai Besi Tol is already like 6.30pm.

Nice clouds :3

I went back on Tuesday but actually the big paper houses mentioned on the last entries was going to be burn on Wednesday, so we just waited for the day to pass. It was like some normal day.

We were asked to sleep BEFORE 11:45PM, they say is because my grandma's soul will come back after that time.

So all of us went to sleep.

Until 3am++, it started to rain heavily and on 4am, the ceiling of the room that me and my family sleep in started to leak. LOL.

But it didn't leaked on all of us, the water fall on my dad only. LOL

My mum says it's because he washed the car yesterday, when he shouldn't be. So my grandma played a little joke on my dad, by giving him shower. =x

Later then they were saying that the rice container have the hand print of my grandma. O_O People believed that after the soul of the dead came back, they will like, do something to the rice? I don't know why but they just do. lol

Can see?

My dad and a cousin of mine didn't believe about it(my dad even denied the ceiling leaking coincidence) though, but the youngest cousin was dead scared(Age 9).

At 6.30am, we went to the graveyard.

No pictures here. I don't dare to take pictures at those places.(The previous pictures were taken by Kaede not me) But basically we're just kneeling and praying and then burn some papers. The end. Oh yeah the rain stopped miraclely(is there a word like this? I think not. lol) before we reached there and then it started to rain again after we're done. Amazing aye?

After we reached home, we have to do the ritual 3 more times. But it was fast so it's ok. lol

I love my cousins, they are like the cutest little things in the whole world. lol

Finally the ritual ended by burning the big house and the paper items(got karaoke machine even lol). My little cousins was really happy to see the big fire. LOL. They're so cute. XD

After that we rushed to bath and went home 'cause my dad have to catch a plane to Beijing. haha

The End.

Oh yeah on my way back I saw this.

Giant chair. Haha

Funeral 2

Before me and my sis get to have some rest, all of us, including the family members have to go bath. It's not easy wait your turn 'cause I have like 8 aunts and they have like 1 to 3 children and there's only 2 bathrooms. I actually can go bath earlier than the rest of them, but I was asked to burn the gold and silver papers!

They say that if you(girls la of course) are having your period, you cannot burn those papers 'cause it's dirty. -_- WTF! Saying us dirty la?

Anyway I'm not having my period at the moment so I have to go burn while the others can take their nice baths.

We have to line them up in a sequence to burn it so it's not time consuming, like this:

But dunno why I cannot do it lo! Keep stop during the way. So I burn it one by one since I have the time. Then my uncle came and try to teach me how to burn it. So annoying can!! 'Cause he's teaching in a really snobbish way. Later then I ran off to have my bath and leaving him with the burning. lol

Later after bath, me and my sis finally could get a good rest and talk about our plans... When suddenly my aunt came again and asked us to burn the papers while they go sleep!

Not that I'm complaining, but it's freakin' hot while burning the papers and it was really cool and breezy outside. lol

They found the right people who burn though, 'cause we have to keep burning the papers non stop, until the coffin was taken off to the grave. They usually have to change shift 'cause they can't stand staying up late. But being the typical KL people, I could stay up till next morning. LOL.

So me and my sis kept burning...

Until 5am when my mum woke up and asked to change shift. That time I'm still not tired leh, but she keep ask us to sleep so we slept. lol

Oh yeah there's one thing I wanna tell. My little cousins created a term on burning the papers, called Olympic. They rolled the paper into a tube and place it like a pipe. The fire would burn up and it will look like a torch on fire like the picture above! LOL Olympic konon.

And there's one cousin of mine, because he's still in his exam seasons, he stayed up also and I'm not sure what time he slept 'cause he's still awake when I sleep. @_@

Flowers for the dead

The next day came eventually and I had a hard time waking up. Unlike me, people at Johor sleep early and wake up early 1 lo. I wonder how they did it. =x

We have to do the ritual for a few times again, that means more kneeling. But this time, we have to walk around the coffin for a few times and I saw my mum's eyes. It was red. I don't want to cry, I want to send my grandma off with a smile, so I look aside, avoiding eyesight with my mum.

But I still have tears in my eyes though. My cousin saw it and asked me to don't cry. lol

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that we have to wear socks throughout the day, even walking on the road and the grave. So to be able to walk on the rocky roads, we have to wear our slippers INSIDE of the socks. LIKE THIS:

And one more thing! The son-in-laws have to wear a white outfit with red cloth, and when I saw my dad wearing it, I was like OMG LOL HE LOOK REALLY CUTE LO. LOL Unlike the others who look weird wearing it.

I heart my dad

It's not a happy event but hey, just trying to be.

The coffin was carried on to a lorry that has a small pondok(house-like thing) and driven off slowly, while we all followed. I sang "Tears" along the way, trying hard not to cry(but one tear fell though).

After walking to a certain place, we have to take transport to follow the bus to the graveyard.

And even if you lost the trail of the lorry, it's ok! Just follow the gold and silver papers on the road.

I wonder who cleans it up later.

Got one time the paper got stuck on the car plate at the car in front of us. So we was like thinking "OMG! Is this a sign that this car plate number will kena lottery?!!" Then after we said that the paper immediately fall away from the car. IT MUST BE A SIGN. lol

As you can see, I'm super exhausted.

Finally we reached the graveyard, through a path with oil palm trees.

And the grave.

Before the coffin was sealed to the ground, we have to do some ritual again, like responding to the priest guy when he say something, like "GOOD!!" I dunno how to explain it 'cause I'm not really sure what he's saying(he spoke in hokkien), I just followed the others by responding. lol

Then after all the responding, we were asked to grad a bit of soil beside the grave, throw it in the hole with the coffin, turn back and leave. Aww. =(

And thus, end of the funeral.

Gonna burn this later, so it means by the time you see this, I might be at Muar already.

Rant + Funeral 1

So I'm back from Muar.

Before I start talking about things at Muar, there's a thing I would like to rant about.

Because I will be gone for like 2 days, afraid that my hits will fall like from some to none, I setted some auto updating post that I rushed to type before I sleep. I thought that when I update, people WOULD come visit and I won't get low hits.

Well it proved me wrong.

It just proves that I fucking failed as a blogger. No it's not that I want hits for so that I could earn money, it just makes me feel better that there's someone that appreciates my blog.

Well I'm not suprised if no one noticed the posts below.

And it just makes me think - wtf makes a blogger a blogger these days?

Speaking their thoughts? Writing about their daily things? Or just write plain rubbish then post it in innit to get hits?

Fuck. Say me jealous or whatever, what is blogging to you guys? Promoting blogs, visiting other blogs asking people to visit back - I saw some that goes HI HOPE TO SEE U IN MY BLOG, nonsense like this. Like wtf? I'm not going to deny, I'm like that - visiting people's blog, and HOPING that they'll drop by.

And now I just think it's plain stupid. Is that what a blogger is suppose to be? Writing nonsense just to please readers or get attention? Wtf is this?

I'm saying this 'cause I fucking give up having hits and I'm going back to my plain blogging life.

I don't want to please anyone or fucking write nonsense just because people who be attracted to come visit.

It's like, you'll never get people to come to your blog unless you're active in that chatbox in innit! I'm fucking serious dammit. You chat there, you make friends, and people would come to your blog 'cause you were a frequent chatter there! That's like fucking shit.

Whatever happened to original blogging? Like, talking about your experience, sharing interesting moments in your life. Now it's all bloody hell nonsense. Don't you dare call me outdated, blogging is suppose to be fun. And I love blogging. I love to share.

But all these stupid commercialized blogging makes me hate blogging. Call me the fox that couldn't reach the grape, whatever, I don't care less no more.

I might blog boring things, but all of them is from my heart.

I might not be as active and creative as those so called famous bloggers, but I will still try my best to blog.

I might not be as socialized as them, but I will try my best to share my experience to the world.

And I don't fucking care about the hits anymore.

And yeah and it's fucking sad that only a few of you noticed my post about my grandmother. I thought people would at least care about that. Thank you curryegg, thank you shvon, thank you hurley too I guess(Why ask me to play Nintendo with her? o.o), thank you Reiko, thank you Hana and recently crazywrazy, thank you.

Thank you Eric, thank you kim-chan, thank you suki, thank you all for giving your condolences.

The end.

After my sis came back from school, we(me, my dad and sis) went for lunch and started our journey.

It was a 2 hour+ trip to muar, but I slept through an hour. lol

Most of my relatives are already there by the time we reached. My mum rushed us to change into those blue clothes and pants that show that we're the grandchildren. We have to wear funny head items too. The guys wear funny hats and girls wore a head cover like you saw in dramas when someone pass away, their female family member wear head garments that looks like this:

The blue head garment represent the grandchildren and the red piece of cloth represents that I'm the grandchildren of the her daughter. The children of her son will have no red cloth.

Oh yeah my grandma's coffin has no glass window, so we can't see our grandma. Which means the last time I saw her was like a month ago. =(

We then did a ceremony - we have to listen to a priest guy talking and we kneeled many times! The knee damn pain lo. Oh yeah and holding the joss stick! On of my aunt's eyes was hurt so badly the viens in her eyes burst and her eyes was bloodish. X_X

We did the ritual for like 4 times. The knee's pain is killing me!! Each ritual lasted for like... erm... not sure how long but the joss stick was burnt till half. And people was watching us doing that.

The picture of my grandma there, compared to the last time I saw her, there is a huge difference. Before she got the sickness, she was a healthy and strong looking, not to mention big size woman. And then she got the sickness... admitted to the hospital and nearly died.

After she released from the hospital, she started to get skinnier day by day.

After all the rituals, and all guests was gone, finally we can settle down for some cold water...

And some snacks!

...To be continue.
